Background
Schultz Campus, a company offering a wide range of online video courses for teachers and school administrative employees, needed new marketing materials for their upcoming fairs and events. They approached me to design two rollup banners, create web advertisements, and provide feedback on a flyer. The goal was to create eye-catching designs that effectively showcased their services and met their brand's standards.
The Problem
Design two rollup banners, create web advertisements, and provide feedback on a flyer to be used at various events and online.
The client wanted an improvement over their previous year's designs, aiming for something more creative and striking. After reviewing a modern and creative design, the client opted for a more simplistic and straightforward look. This required me to pivot to a minimalistic approach while ensuring the designs were still engaging.
Solution
For the rollup banners, I first presented a modern design featuring triangular shapes with varying opacity around the images. After receiving feedback, I simplified the design to a more traditional layout with square images and concise bullet points to align with the client's preferences.
For the web advertisements, I adhered to the client's instructions to keep them very simple. I used the text provided by the client, paired with relevant images, and included a clear call-to-action button, ensuring the ads were straightforward and aligned with the client's minimalist aesthetic.
I provided multiple graph options for the flyer feedback, including human icons to visually represent data, which enhanced the overall presentation. This went beyond mere feedback and included creating more engaging visual elements for the flyer.
Results
The client was pleased with the final results, as the banners effectively highlighted their services in a clear and straightforward manner. The simplified design met the client’s expectations and successfully attracted attention at events. The web advertisements, though minimalistic, effectively promoted Schultz Campus’s offerings and aligned well with the overall branding. The additional graph designs for the flyer helped in visually communicating key data points, making the flyer more informative and engaging.
